conducted to determine if the percentage of politically active students in Lubbock was
comparable to the national average. This project aims to inform college-age individuals of the
lack of voter representation in their age group.

Flowering plant families are classified by their floral characteristics. However, the mechanism
for producing different flowering patterns across plant families is not fully elucidated. The
purpose of this investigation is to further elucidate species-specific flower development by
characterizing the increased floral organ number in the Arabidopsis thaliana just-one-more (jom)
mutant.
