Students in the honors sections of World History at the United States Air Force Academy studied
World History through the lens of Thomas Jefferson and the impact of the Enlightenment on the
world. Class culminated with a capstone trip to Virginia to explore the world of Thomas
Jefferson. Three students will present their experiences and discuss them with the audience.

An explanation of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars’ various opportunities available
for honors students will be presented. Honors faculty and directors may want to have NSCS
chapters on their own campuses. Our honors director receives numerous emails and phone calls
about NSCS, so we do know that there is a good bit of interest about NSCS.
Ethical Governance

community. At the University of Montana, students have the unique opportunity to participate in
a student government that educates them in ethical governance and primes them for a lifetime of
