An o i n t e d Pr i e s t<br />
In Asrai culture, Spellsingers are expected to maintain <strong>the</strong> spiritual<br />
link between Elves and <strong>the</strong> forest, making Priestesses <strong>of</strong> Isha<br />
<strong>the</strong> most important and powerful figures in Asrai settlements.<br />
Substitutions: Replace Speak Arcane Language (Magick) with<br />
(Arcane Elf). Wardancer Priests do not use divine spells, preferring<br />
to worship through <strong>the</strong> Shadow Dances <strong>of</strong> Loec (pg. 35),<br />
<strong>the</strong>refore <strong>the</strong>y should modify <strong>the</strong> career using <strong>the</strong> rules in ToS<br />
(Mundane Priests pg. 184). Note: New divine spells will be<br />
included in <strong>the</strong> Magic Expansion for DotF.<br />

Ar t i s a n<br />
Elven artisans are able to master many different crafts because<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir longevity. The most dedicated and famous Asrai artisans<br />
are lay priests <strong>of</strong> Vaul, <strong>the</strong> Smith God. Items crafted by Wood<br />
Elves are viewed as collectibles by human nobility, and possibly<br />
magical. The best works <strong>of</strong> Asrai artwork are moved on <strong>the</strong> black<br />
market.<br />
Substitutions: Replace Drive with Intimidate; replace Secret<br />
Language (Guilder) with Speak Language (Eltharin); replace<br />
Speak Language (Khazalid, Breton, or Tilean) with Aethyric<br />

Wood Elves who live in human settlements can become quite<br />
skilful at breaking into buildings, and <strong>the</strong>y relish having freedom<br />
<strong>of</strong> space in <strong>the</strong> claustrophobic city. Elven Cat Burglars are <strong>of</strong>ten<br />
in <strong>the</strong> employment <strong>of</strong> a Crime Lord so <strong>the</strong>y can benefit from his<br />
protection.<br />

The greatest Asrai warriors are held in high esteem and are <strong>of</strong>ten<br />
honoured with a title such as “Hound <strong>of</strong> Winter” or “Red Wolf”.<br />
Champions <strong>of</strong>ten lead units into battle on behalf <strong>of</strong> a Highborn,<br />
but <strong>the</strong> Wood Elves do not have a military hierarchy.<br />

Within Asrai culture it is difficult to masquerade as something<br />
you are not. However, Wood Elves travelling through human<br />
settlements are known to pass <strong>the</strong>mselves <strong>of</strong>f as fey spellcasters or<br />
nobles to obtain special privileges, or avoid harassment.<br />

In Asrai culture, all members <strong>of</strong> a Kinband are allowed to petition<br />
its leader. Wood Elf Demagogues are most common in<br />
settlements located nearby areas <strong>of</strong> deforestation, where <strong>the</strong>y<br />
preach to humans about <strong>the</strong> natural order <strong>of</strong> things and protection<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> trees.<br />

woodland kingdoms and replenishing <strong>the</strong> dwindling populations<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Asrai homelands.<br />

Loren, where <strong>the</strong>y guard <strong>the</strong> sacred ways through <strong>the</strong> wood. Unlike<br />
<strong>the</strong> travelling Ghost Striders <strong>of</strong> Laurëlorn, Waywatchers are<br />
usually deployed defensively.<br />
