BETTER WORLD
Creating a better world is hard work. It takes heart, determination, sweat
and teamwork. It takes the Ford Volunteer Corps. More than 12,000 Ford
employees and retirees came together on six continents for Ford Global Week
of Caring. For the sixth straight year, volunteers picked up paint brushes and
hammers, shovels and wheelbarrows to tackle community projects and make
a world of difference for people in need. Employees at Ford dealerships also
answered the call to help, putting teams of Ford volunteers on the job in
45 countries from Europe and Asia to Africa and the Americas.
Ford volunteers are on the job in communities throughout the year, but
when employees around the world come together as One Ford during Ford
Global Week of Caring, it’s a powerful force for good in any language. During
the past six years, the number of Ford volunteers participating has grown
from 1,200 to more than 12,000. In the United States, more than 1,000 Ford
volunteers in 19 states stepped away from their desks and workstations and
into dozens of community building projects on a Ford Accelerated Action Day
during the Global Week of Caring.
