7.1.4 Modem testChecks the Modem connections. Press [ENTER] to select the desired Port relatedto the connections made, to the Port to which the Modem C-COM is connected.7.1.5 Serial PortsChange parameters: Changes the parameters of the serial interface. This menuallows to select the Port (Signal Source), the Baud Rate between 300 or 115200,the Data Bits (Word Length) between 7 or 8, the Parity between even, odd ornone, the Stop Bits between 1 or 2.Input Data Display: Allows the chart plotter to act as a computer terminal anddisplay the incoming data exactly as it is received. If the data displayed on thescreen is unrecognizable, you may have selected the wrong input parameters foryour particular receiver. Check your receiver manual to be sure that you haveselected the proper interface format. If the screen is blank, the connection maybe interrupted, and no data is being received. Thevalue can be entered either in centimeters or inches (the default is 30.5 cm). Theunit of measure is user selectable (see Screen Size Unit option). If the unit ofmeasure is changed, the value is converted.Screen Size Unit: Allows entering the screen size unit among cm and inch.Centimeters is the default unit.Apply settings: Sets the values Resolution and Horizontal size. When this functionis executed the following message are shown: "The Display settings will beapplied after power off. Do you want to restart the unit now?". If the display willnot be visible, shut off the chart plotter again then power it up keeping pressed[ZOOM-IN] to set default resolution 640x480. Choosing "YES", the chart plotterwill be restarted and the new settings applied. Choosing "NO" the new settingswill be applied only next time the chart plotter is powered up. Choosing "ABORT"will discarded all changes and nothing will be applied. The original values of Resolutionand Horizontal Size are restored and displayed.NOTEIt is possible to restore the lowest screen resolution (640x480) by pressingand holding [ZOOM-IN] while the chart plotter is switched to ON. This is usefulwhen the image is not shown on the screen for example as effect of changingthe display or display not compatible with the set resolution.88 <strong>User</strong> <strong>Manual</strong>
