BEAVER.AN ACTTo provide for the health and safety of persons employed in and about the anthracitecoal mines of Pennsylvania and for the protection and preservation ofproperty connected therewith.ARTICLE I.Section 1. Be it enacted, &e., That this act shall apply to everyanthracite coal mine or colliery in the Commonwealth, provided thesaid mine or colliery employs more than ten (10)ARTICLE ILInspectors and Inspection Districts.persons.Section 1. The counties of Susquehanna, Wayne, Luzerne, Lackawanna,Carbon, Schuylkill, Northumberland, Columbia, Lebanon andDauphin, or so much of them as may be included under the provisionsof this act, shall be divided into eight (8) inspection districts asfollows:Section 2. First. All that portion of the Lackawanna coal field lyingnortheast of East and West Market streets in the city of Scranton,and of Slocum and Drinker streets in the borough of Dunmore,including the coal fields of Susquehanna and Wayne counties.Second. That portion of the Lackawanna coal field in Lackawannacounty lying southwest of East and West Market streets inthe cityof Scrantou, and west of Slocum and Drinker streets in the boroughof Dunmore.Third. That portion of the Wyoming coal fields situated in Luzernecounty, east of and including Plains and Kingston townships.Fourth. The remaining porlion of the Wyoming coal field west ofPlains and Kingston townships, including the city of Wilkes-Barreand the boroughs of Kingston and Edwardsville.Fifth. That part of Luzerne county lying south of the Wyomingcoal field together with Carbon county.Sixth.
