The workings to the right of the main heading haveall run into the big fault that is on that side. of the work, and itwas also struck in the main heading, an dso the work is nowcotitiued to the upper left headings, and as these places will runagainst the fault, the coal will soon be exhausted, and to get at thelarge body of coal on the other side of the fault a new opening wilihave to be put in at some point near Winburue. The condition of(be mine was fair at the two first visits, but on the other visits wasnot very good as the work is all getting crowded up into a corner,and as the coal sticks so much, it nt ^^ds a ^i-eat deal of blasting fortilt quantity mined, so that the mine is in a smoky condition all thetime.Summerville.This mine is operated by Summerville & Buchanan.
