151The extraordinary congress of the Party, the RussianSocial-Democratic Labour Party (Bolsheviks), called by theCentral Committee for October 17, has on the agenda therevision of the Party programme. The Conference of April24-29 68 passed a resolution on the necessity for such arevision and indicated in eight points the direction whichthis revision should follow.* Then, later, pamphlets werepublished in Petrograd** and Moscow,*** which took upthe question of revision, and on August 10 the Moscowjournal Spartak 69 No. 4 published an article by ComradeN. I. Bukharin devoted to the same subject.Let us examine the points raised by the Moscow comrades.IFor the Bolsheviks, who all agree on the need to “evaluateimperialism and the epoch of imperialist wars in connectionwith the approaching socialist revolution” (Clause 1 of theresolution adopted by the Conference of April 24-29), themain question in the revision of the Party programme isthat of formulating a new programme.
