Introduction• The Appendices provide additional detail on a number <strong>of</strong> topics. In addition:• Appendix C lists permitting and contact information related to discharges to thesanitary sewer; that is included since some source control measures call fordischarging potentially polluted site run<strong>of</strong>f to the sanitary sewer.• Appendix H lists sources for stormwater management information not coveredby this manual (as described in the next section).Reference materials used to develop eachchapter are listed at the end <strong>of</strong> that chapter,and references used to develop the variouscontrol measure fact sheets are presented atthe end <strong>of</strong> each fact sheet in Chapters 4-6. Thetwo main reference documents were the <strong>City</strong>and County <strong>of</strong> <strong>Sacramento</strong>’s Guidance <strong>Manual</strong>for On-Site <strong>Stormwater</strong> <strong>Quality</strong> ControlMeasures (January 2000) and the California<strong>Stormwater</strong> <strong>Quality</strong> Association’s statewidedocument, California Storm Water BestManagement Practice Handbook forDevelopment (<strong>May</strong> 2003).CASQA’s California BMPHandbook for Developmentwas referenced in the creation<strong>of</strong> this <strong>Design</strong> <strong>Manual</strong>, withmany adaptations made forthe <strong>Sacramento</strong> Region. In theevent <strong>of</strong> conflicts between thismanual and the CASQAhandbook, this manual willgenerally take precedence.Contact your local permittingagency for clarification.<strong>Stormwater</strong> Management Information Not in the <strong>Manual</strong>This manual does not include:• drainage/flood control design standards• temporary erosion and sediment controls and other pollution controls usedduring construction activities• on-going operational practices to control pollution at industrial and commercialfacilities once they are constructed (such as making sure employees don’t dumphazardous or liquid wastes in the trash).For information about those topics, see the references listed in Appendix H.Obtaining the <strong>Manual</strong> and UpdatesGo to www.sacramentostormwater.org to download this manual (PDF format) andobtain information for ordering a hard copy.
