He also appeared in newspaperand television advertisements advocating the increased presence <strong>of</strong> foreign companiesin Japan. In the same year, JIC established a one-stop service center called Invest JapanBusiness Support Centre (IBSCs) within the Japan External Trade Organization(JETRO). <strong>The</strong> main purpose <strong>of</strong> this <strong>of</strong>fice was to support foreign companies and foreignerindividuals who would like to invest in or start a business in Japan.215
