<strong>SP</strong>-<strong>2000</strong>/X-YMaintenance And RepairRoutine MaintenanceThe <strong>SP</strong>-<strong>2000</strong>/X-Y is a highly reliable and stable product. Many of the mechanicalcomponents are sealed and permanently lubricated. The electronics are wellventilated and highly rated. The number of connectors is kept to a minimumand the best quality connectors are utilized. It isrecommended that you clean the targets every day. The top surface of the targetis clear lexan which can be cleaned with any standard household cleaner such asFantastic or 409.Removing TargetsIf a target is damaged, or the studio configuration is changed, targets will needto be replaced. Peel up one corner with a razor blade and try to keep the adhesiveon the back of the target, not on the floor. Slowly pull the target off the floor.Small areas of adhesive left on the floor can be removed carefully with a razorblade or by rubbing back and forth with your finger. To move larger areas ofadhesive from the floor before you install the new targets, you can use:• A 50/50 solution of isopropyl alcohol and water• A slightly more aggressive cleaner called “Citrus Based Cleaner”is available from 3M Company (1-800-524-0399)4-6 User Manual
