Using Printer Settings UtilityUsing the Printer Settings Utility, you can configure and checkprint settings.1 Right-click the Smart Panel icon on the Windows task barand select Printer Setting.2 Change the settings.3 To send the changes to the printer, click the Apply button.Changing the Smart PanelProgram SettingsRight-click the Smart Panel icon on the Windows task bar andselect Options.The following window opens.NOTES: If you connect your printer to a network, theSyncThru Web Service window appears instead of thePrinter Settings Utility window.Using Onscreen Help FileFor more information about Printer Settings Utility, click .• Display when job is finished for network printer: Thecomputer shows the Smart Panel popup window orballoon when your job is complete. (Only for a networksupported printer.)• Display when error occurs during printing: Thecomputer shows the Smart Panel popup window orballoon when an error occurs during printing.• Display with: You can select how the computer showsyou a message. If you select Popup window (smartpanel), the message appears in the Smart Panel popwindow.• Launch Job Monitor when the job is saved in theprinter: If you store print jobs on the printer’s hard disk,the computer opens the Job Monitor window. (Only for anetwork supported printer with a built-in hard disk.)• Schedule an automatic status checking every: Thecomputer updates the printer status regularly. Setting thevalue close to 1 second causes the computer to check theprinter status more frequently, thereby allowing a fasterresponse to any printer error.31Using Smart Panel
