A fourth restart (or the number in Max Restarts+1) causes theTSI Test to abort.✓ Select the Tachometer button at any time to reconfigure thetachometer. The test then restarts.✓ Press the Abort button at any time to stop the test. When the 2500 RPM Test is complete, the idle RPM Test begins.Figure 3D-5: TSI Simulation Test at Idle RPM11. To begin the idle phase of the test, accelerate the vehicle to the RPMrange indicated below the slide meter, 450–1300 in this case.— Before the simulation begins, a test initialization occurs. Testinitialization is complete when the vehicle maintains the RPM range, low flow is not detected, and the minimum dilution requirements aremet for a period of two consecutive seconds (or to the setting for TimeRequired Inside Initialization).12. When test initialization is complete, maintain acceleration within the RPMrange using the slide meter and digital meter.— The Time counter, located in the upper left meter, counts down from30 to 0 (or the number of seconds set in Idle RPM Time down to 0) aslong as RPM is within range, low flow is not detected, and minimumdilution requirements are met.3D-5
