Work Order No. 001<strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Boca</strong> <strong>Raton</strong>andMock•RoosConsulting Services Work OrderforSTORMWATER MANAGEMENT MASTER PLANThis Work Order, when executed, shall be incorporated in and become a part <strong>of</strong> theAgreement for pr<strong>of</strong>essional services between the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Boca</strong> <strong>Raton</strong> (CITY), Florida andMock•Roos (CONSULTANT), dated _______________________, hereafter referred to asthe “Agreement.”PURPOSE: The purpose <strong>of</strong> this Work Order is to develop a Stormwater Management<strong>Master</strong> <strong>Plan</strong> (SMMP) for the CITY. The SMMP will identify, on a city-wide basis,conceptual improvements needed in the CITY’s stormwater system, and programs necessaryto meet the requirements <strong>of</strong> the CITY’s municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4)National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit. The NPDES is a Federalprogram developed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for compliance with theClean Water Act. In October 2000, EPA authorized the Florida Department <strong>of</strong>Environmental Protection (FDEP) to administer the NPDES Program in the State <strong>of</strong> Florida.The <strong>City</strong>’s MS4 NPDES permit regulates point source discharges <strong>of</strong> stormwater into surfacewaters <strong>of</strong> the State <strong>of</strong> Florida by requiring the <strong>City</strong> to implement a comprehensiveStormwater Management Program that includes prevention measures, treatment or removaltechniques, stormwater monitoring, public education, regulation and enforcement.SCOPE OF SERVICESTASK 1 – EXISTING CONDITIONS DOCUMENTATIONTask 1.A – Inventory Stormwater SystemTask 1.A.1 The CONSULTANT will review South Florida Water Management District(SFWMD) permit records and create a Geographic Information System (GIS) representingthe permitted projects within the CITY with a database containing the following information:Name <strong>of</strong> ProjectDrainage AreaStorage AreaControl ElevationMinimum Road ElevationLevel <strong>of</strong> Protection for RoadsMinimum Building Pad ElevationLevel <strong>of</strong> Protection for BuildingsL/bocaswmp/a6016.01/InterimReport 11-27-07/r02Page 1MOCK•ROOS
