Print<strong>Post</strong> Terms and ConditionsSummary of keyfeaturesFor sending magazines, periodicals and catalogues within <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong>.Magazines and periodicals are publications with fixed titles that are published regularly, at leasttwice a year. Catalogues are substantial publications that market products and services to, andinvite purchases from, their recipients, and are published at least twice a year.Print<strong>Post</strong> cannot be used for delivering handbooks, manuals, directories or annual reports. Salesflyers or circulars do not meet the definition of a catalogue for the purposes of Print<strong>Post</strong>, even ifpublished regularly.The minimum lodgement requirement is 1000 items in single weight range.To use Print<strong>Post</strong> you must:have a Permit<strong>Post</strong> numbersubmit a completed Statement of <strong>Post</strong>ing with your lodgement (either a manual AR19Nform or Lodgement Manager Manifest)meet all lodgement requirementsdeclare your Statement of Accuracy % and ID number on the Statement of <strong>Post</strong>ingcomply with the relevant envelope layout standards and addressing layout standardsbe a <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> <strong>Post</strong> Account customer.SamplesPrint<strong>Post</strong> is designed to accommodate samples in addition to the publication.It is the responsibility of the mailer to ensure the sample is securely packaged so that it cannot bedamaged or become separated in the normal process of handling and delivering this mail item.In addition, there are a number of items that <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> <strong>Post</strong> is unable to handle or deliver.These are specified in the Prohibited and Restricted items section of the <strong><strong>Post</strong>al</strong> Users’ <strong>Guide</strong>(section 2).If you are in doubt about whether a proposed mailing with a sample will be acceptable, pleasecontact your Account Manager or the Customer Service Centre on 0800 501 501 for confirmation.Dimensions and weightrestrictionsFor sending publicationsMaximum dimensions(height x length)Maximum weightMaximum thickness260mm x 385mm 1.0kg 20mm*Dimensions and weight restrictions include the envelope/packaging.For sending magazines with samplesMaximum dimensions(height x length)Cannot extend beyondthe outside edges ofthe publicationMaximum weightThe combined weight of thesamples and publicationcannot exceed 1.0kgMaximum thicknessThe combined thickness ofthe sample and publicationcannot exceed 40mm.The maximum thickness of the publication is 20mm, however a sample can also be included (at aadditional charge) that, combined with the publication, takes the total thickness up to 40mm,under the following conditions:The publication can be no more than 20mm thick including all inserts within the pages,If the combined thickness is greater than 20mm the sample must sit outside thepublication, but inside the packaging (i.e. flow wrap)If the combined thickness is less than 20mm the lodgement does not require a Print<strong>Post</strong>sample product code and the fee does not applyThe sample must be secured so that it does not separate from the publicationPUG 8d (October 2013) Page 1 of 5
