Armed Forces ConcessionSummary of keyfeaturesThe Armed Forces Concession is a pricing concession for items posted to or from <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong>service personnel serving at designated Missions abroad or at sea. It also applies to overseasservice personnel serving with the armed forces in <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong>.Letters and parcels sent through the Armed Forces Concession are subsidised. Instead of beingcharged at the international rate, postage is charged at:the domestic Standard <strong>Post</strong> rate for lettersa special Armed Forces Concession rate for parcels (up to a 10kg weight limit).Police serving overseas can also access these concession rates, subject to guidelines set by<strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> Police.ProductrequirementsOutbound mail – lettersDestinations are limited to those that have been agreed between the Armed Forces and<strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> <strong>Post</strong>, and are subject to change.Letters must be marked as Forces Concession. All items posted must carry theindividual's name, rank, regimental number and name of Operation.Items are to be presented at a <strong>Post</strong>Shop or collected from a military base.Outbound mail – parcelsDestinations are limited to those that have been agreed between the Armed Forces and<strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> <strong>Post</strong>, and are subject to change.Parcels must be marked as Forces Concession.
