When we climbthe steps and play another switch in the middle, then the twolights, are put off while the light at the top showers its maximumillumination over every step as well as the second floor. Such amechanism exists in you and the Yogic training makes you knowhow to use it When inertia and dynamism disappear in the poise,then the higher nature makes its appearance. Then you willhave the intuition of the original life. Otherwise you will havethe out-tuition; the world of objectivity. Intuition is the oneness(Yoga) into which the counterparts disappear. Then the Triangle(the mind, buddhi and the higher, ego) includes the mental andthe emotional planes in the terminology of D. K. This trianglecontains the three among the five. The lower triangle includesthe physical, while the higher triangle is the path into oneness.The division of the seven main planes of existence (Lokas)Is according to Master D. K. also. He has given us a sectionalmagnification from the total plan that is given in the scriptures.After we know the sectional magnification given by the Tibetan,we can super-impose the division given in the scriptures. Thehigher and the lower counterparts put together form the doublegod,Jehovah of the Jews and the Ardhanari (Androgyne) of
Lesson - 4 69the Indian scriptures. Siva, the Lord is represented as halfmanand half-woman longitudinally. This aspect is calledArdhanari. The Lingam (emblem) of Lord Siva represents thedouble-unit. For the first time, the white man came to Indiaand misunderstood it as the emblem of the male and the femaleorgans.Now let us see what happens when we follow the disciplineof repetition and detachment. Self-awareness makes a continuousstir until it kindles the light of self-awakening. The intuitionalcapsule makes its appearance and this is, henceforth, your abodeor your real existence. You will find yourself with the intuitionalcapsule, the philosopher’s stone. This capsule contains your ‘IAM-ness’ which is a reality to you henceforth. It also containsthe light of discrimination, the lamp which shows you what istemporary and what is permanent, what is eternal, and what isperiodical, what is desirable and what is undesirable, what isto be accepted and what is to be rejected. When you are livingin your lower nature, you find that something is to be rejected.After the lower nature is absorbed in the higher, you will discoverthat there is nothing to be rejected.The third item that is contained in the intuitional capsule isthe application of the first two items to any piece of work on thephysical plane. The seventh sub-plane of the seventh plane fromthe bottom of our existence is what is called matter of the physicalplane. A rearrangement of this matter changes the pattern ofour existence. Hence it is inevitable for a student of Yoga tohave a piece of work selected on the physical plane so that hemay apply his awareness and discrimination. Without physicalapplication, the I AM-ness kindled on the higher plane is only amyth, only a concept like the photograph of your bread whichnever serves the purpose of breakfast. Without physicalapplication, discrimination is only a mechanical activity of thepsychological machine. Remember that the lesson of magnetism
