Our complexes do not acceptsome other person before whom we can make a total surrender.Theoretically we can accept a teacher in the University senseor the college sense. But the trouble is to make a total surrender.Here comes the necessity to make a cut off of our complexesthat exist with our lower nature. Unless we make such a cutoff, we cannot have a cut off of our lower nature. The momentwe are prepared then the necessity to cut off complexes goesaway. Unless we make a total surrender of personality to anotherperson, we will have no chance of crossing the barriers of vanity.When once we cut off, the lower ego disappears and the necessityto make a surrender to another person disappears It is a realtest at the gate. Some people ask “Is it necessary to have aGuru? Can’t we do it for ourselves?” Years pass and they die.In the next birth also the same question dwells with them. Theanswer is that a Guru is necessary to come out of this question.The Second question is “What happens if we make a wrongchoice and make a total surrender to a person who is an idiotin the name of a Guru? What happens if the idiot leads us totroubles? Suppose we make total surrender to an astral beast?”The truth is that nature always protects us according to a law.When you make a total surrender to an astral beast, a cheat,or a deceit, or one who wants to squeeze money and opportunitythen if your surrender is whole-hearted, if it is a total surrenderwith no difference, then you are benefited and the beast will goto dogs. This is the first occult law.This becomes true only when you are sincere. If youwant to test you are in the astral level and nature attracts youto an astral beast which is most befitting. If the disciple is wholeheartedwhatever fraud is there on the part of the Guru will eatthe Guru and burns him to ashes. The disciple is always savedby virtue of his whole-heartedness.
