In 2014–15 the amount of ref<strong>in</strong>ery feedstocks (<strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g imports) that went<br />
<strong>in</strong>to <strong>Australia</strong>’s ref<strong>in</strong>eries was 29.9 gigalitres. About 83 per cent of ref<strong>in</strong>ery<br />
feedstocks are sourced from imports. Dependence on imports of crude oil<br />
and other ref<strong>in</strong>ery feedstock has <strong>in</strong>creased over the last three decades,<br />
with <strong>in</strong>creases <strong>in</strong> consumption and decl<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g east coast production.<br />
