Capacity<br />
There are approximately 310 pr<strong>in</strong>cipal generat<strong>in</strong>g plants of over 10<br />
megawatts of capacity <strong>in</strong> <strong>Australia</strong>, with a comb<strong>in</strong>ed <strong>in</strong>stalled capacity of<br />
62,984 megawatts <strong>in</strong> 2013–14. However, many m<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g areas and remote<br />
communities have their own off-grid or m<strong>in</strong>i-grid systems that are not<br />
captured <strong>in</strong> this number.<br />
