The two largest companies, Woodside and BHP Billiton, jo<strong>in</strong>tly accounted<br />
for nearly one-third of <strong>Australia</strong>n gas production <strong>in</strong> 2014–15, similar to the<br />
previous year. The next four largest companies — Shell, BP, Chevron and<br />
Santos — each accounted for around 7 per cent of production.<br />
