Consumption of ref<strong>in</strong>ed products<br />
<strong>Australia</strong>’s consumption of ref<strong>in</strong>ed petroleum products rema<strong>in</strong>ed relatively<br />
flat <strong>in</strong> 2014–15, at around 55.2 gigalitres. About 50 per cent of domestic<br />
petroleum consumption is sourced from imports. Diesel accounted for the<br />
largest share (43 per cent) of the consumption, followed by automotive<br />
gasol<strong>in</strong>e or petrol (33 per cent).<br />
