Empire State Building<br />

The second-oldest skyscraper in the world, the Empire State Building<br />
was completed in 1931 and remained the world’s tallest building until<br />
1972. The building is situated in Midtown Manhattan and has 102 floors.<br />
It is owned by the Empire State Realty Trust and, according to World<br />
Atlas, “recently completed an extensive renovation totaling $500mn,<br />
with around $120mn being spent on transforming the building into<br />
a more environmentally-friendly and energy efficient structure.”<br />
