But the most important period in the history of art is
certainly the Greek civilization with its classical art and
its ideals of beauty.
Where do you get your inspirations from?
I am inspired by the beauty of nature, by the light
that enters through a window, I am inspired by female
beauty. I also read many art history books and go around
museums and galleries. But nature is my greatest
teacher.
In one of your interviews you said: photography is a
vocation, almost a “biblical” conversion: it was she
who chose me, breaking into my life, since then not
a day has gone by without it. For me, photography is
not a uniform that is worn but it is my own skin. I live
constantly on photography!
Can you still see the outside world like an ordinary
person, or do you look at it as a photographer?
Every day that I wake up, every day that I
open my eyes, I try to find the “beauty” that
surrounds me. Even if I don’t have my camera
with me, I still try to collect the pictures with
my mind. These are all experiences that remain in our
hearts and minds. We can take photos even without a
camera, only with our eyes and our heart: these are
the most exclusive photos, only ours – personal and
unique.
A recipe for a perfect photograph?
Each photograph contains all our experience, our
studies, the books we read, the exhibitions we visit, the
good music we listen to. Our photographs are x-rays
of our intellect. If we experience many emotions, our
NATURE
is my greatest teacher.
