This happens due to the shimmering silver and
three-dimensionality created by the base material
of glass. It is the appearance of the original and its
reality that attracts me in this technique.
Black and white combined with chiaroscuro,
in my opinion, most successfully create the
atmosphere of nostalgia, imbued with emotions
and mystery, calmness or drama. Black-and-white
photography does not correctly convey the reality
that we perceive with our eyes in colour, thereby
manipulating it, often introducing an element of
visual uncertainty that can puzzle the recipient
and encourage them to stay with it longer.
You have taken many beautiful, sensual, painfully
real, almost stripped photos. For me, nudity is
beautiful, pure, and natural. A naked woman
is the quintessence of beauty, the embodiment
of the beauty of nature. What do you think? How do
you use this (sorry for the term) ‘’tool’’ – the naked
body of a model?
Beautifully said: “the embodiment of the beauty of
nature.” That is exactly what nudity is. My female
nudes lack the erotic elements. Nudity does not absorb
all the viewer’s attention. It is only a way to show
expressions, a way to show relationships, emotions, and
our coexistence with nature. I want these images to be
poetic, so that they penetrate deeper into our inner
world, so that the recipients can find in them a part
of themselves, especially that meditative part.
Sometimes I watch shows about famous
photographers. And it always surprises me that
the photo scene is usually put together beforehand,
a model is arranged against a pre-prepared
background. All the photographer needs to do is to
press the button. I admit that this amuses me.
