2021 as a new and separate stream (Integrated Case Studies) delivered via online sessions.<br />

Treatment Planning<br />

2021 CSS delivery was delivered in a hybrid model, with the treatment planning stream<br />

remaining in an online format. The focus of the treatment planning stream did not change<br />

therefore, faculty expected the students to demonstrate the planning skills they had acquired<br />

by integrating the learning from across all the courses to which they had been exposed in the<br />

past two years.<br />

Patient Communication<br />

We felt that the feedback received, and the successful completion of the pandemic model<br />

was phenomenal thereby impacting how we viewed delivery of this stream in CSS 2021. It<br />

was incorporated in a new model, and we consider it a valuable advancement for the<br />

profession.<br />

The model affords student education and training to be virtual and as such can also be<br />

adapted by clinics to conduct patient education sessions in this format. We feel that providing<br />

patient care education and training virtually, when planned appropriately, is an innovative<br />

and evolving model which could be adapted across many settings.<br />
