After a career in digital marketing, I decided to retrain as a Diagnostic<br />

Radiographer at the University of the West of England. During my<br />

studies, I also achieved my ILM award in effective mentoring and<br />

became a PALs leader on my course. This involved supporting fellow<br />

students on topics such as exam advice, revision assistance and<br />

general peer support. After qualifying in 2021, I accepted a role at<br />

the Royal United Hospital in Bath, UK, within the Radiology team. My<br />

future aim is to specialise in Ultrasound.<br />

Tamsin Arnold<br />

Bachelors degree with Honours in Diagnostic Radiography; Masters<br />

in Medical Imaging (Computed Tomography)<br />

I received my degree in Diagnostic Radiography from the Royal<br />

Military College of Science (Cranfield University) and have worked as<br />

a Radiographer at the University Hospitals Sussex National Health<br />

Service Foundation Trust and its associated legacy trusts within the<br />

UK. After completing my Master’s Degree in Medical Imaging<br />

(Computed Tomography) at the University of Portsmouth I gained<br />

extensive experience in all areas of CT advanced practice. I am a<br />

Course Director on the established Goodwood Cardiac Course and am a Lead Radiographer<br />

for CT Colonoscopy. I currently run a Dementia Head Reporting service for our local Memory<br />

Assessment Service. I have achieved accreditation as an Advanced Practitioner from the UK<br />

Society and College of Radiographers. I am the Chair Person for the CT Head Reporting Special<br />

Interest group and have recently been appointed to the Society of Radiographers Computed<br />

Tomography Advisory Group. It is through this work that I have had the opportunity to<br />

provide education and support to Radiographers at a national level throughout the pandemic.<br />

Reshika Balakrishnan<br />

Masters of Arts; Bachelors in Neuroscience; Bachelors in Medical Radiation Sciences; Medical<br />

Radiation Technologist – Radiation Therapist (Ontario).<br />

I have been a faculty member in the Radiation Therapy Program at the Michener Institute for<br />

Education at UHN In Toronto, Ontario, Canada for 14 years. Teaching during the pandemic<br />

has been an interesting experience. Many things changed overnight and we, as a team,<br />

adapted to the changes it required and found many innovative ways of delivering curriculum<br />
