The College of Radiographers nominated me for the ‘Research Excellence Framework Main<br />

Panel A’ (subcommittee 3) and this is the first time I have also been involved in the REF in this<br />

way. Finally, I am now Chair of the College of Radiographers Research Interest Group.<br />

I am Principal Radiographer (Education) in the Radiography<br />

Department, Singapore General Hospital where I also coordinate<br />

education activities and oversee training and education in<br />

General Radiography as the Education Lead. As a department<br />

appointed clinical educator, I also hold responsibility for faculty<br />

development related to teaching and assessment. In tandem to<br />

my above roles, I am a Singapore Institute of Technology<br />

appointed clinical educator, involved in clinical supervision of<br />

undergraduate student radiographers. At present, I am a<br />

member of the Radiography Education Sub-Committee in SingHealth Duke-NUS Radiological<br />

Sciences Academic Clinical Programme and CPD Committee Member of the Association for<br />

Medical Education in Europe. In recognition of my commitment to medical education, I have<br />

been admitted as a Member of the Academy of Medical Educators. My research interests<br />

include healthcare education, health services research and image interpretation. Writing the<br />

history of the present in education has always been worth attempting and is even more so<br />

now because of the way history is made. Hence, it is my honor to be able to contribute a<br />

chapter in this e-<strong>book</strong> as the imaging and therapy radiography profession worldwide gather<br />

to write the history of the present. Now, Let the work speak for itself.<br />
