SIMMENTAL REVIEW 2018

REGIONAL CLUB REPORTS

Wayland show numbers are increasing; there were no

breed classes but for the time of year, this show is doing

well - well done Granger. Paul & Linda Gunther won the

last show of the season with Fircovert Cecilia at Aylsham,

well done to them both.

A big thank you to the judges who travelled to the shows

as I know it can be hard & frustrating only judging a few in

a class.

Penny Lally, along with her right hand lady Ann Jukes,

took time out to judge our herd competition this year,

several miles got travelled and thank you for the results:

JUDGE’S SPECIAL PRIZE

Paul Monaghan at Nigel Darling’s Intwood Farm

For his enthusiasm for the breed and plans for the future of their herd

As most of you know, the National Simmental Show will

be held at the Royal Norfolk Show in 2019. This is one of

the best in the country. They will not limit you on stalls,

but I advise you to book early, you can always cancel some

stalls if you have overbooked - Holly will refund you. You

will also get money back for every animal forward.

If you have any questions, you can get in contact with

Holly at the Norfolk show. I can also help if you want to

speak to me, I also know of some great accomodation

close to the show ground, but I would advise you to book

early, some of them are only 10 minutes away and you

don’t have to go into the city!

Finally, most of all, I would like to wish all the Simmental

breeders success, good luck and a healthy 2019.
