Report by Emma McInnes - Secretary

2018 SHOWS

Lincoln show was the first

outing this year for our club

members. The Hollingsworth

family took Reserve Champion

with their bull Midhope Ivor.

The next major win was

for Tom and Ruby at Norfolk

Show, where they took Male

Champion, Junior Champion,

and went on to take Reserve

Junior Interbreed Champion

with their young bull Scotland

Hill Iceman. Donald and

Kirsty won the January-March

2017 class with their heifer St

Trinian’s Imogen.

The English National

Show was held at the Great

Yorkshire this year. The

Hollingsworth and Steele

families were in the tickets,

and a good time was had by

all.

2018 SALES

Newark sale in March saw

the Hollingsworth family take

reserve female champion with

Midhope Glamorous.

Leading Ladies sale at

Carlisle saw victory for the

Hollingsworth family, as they

took Champion with their

heifer Midhope Holy Light

out of the much noted cow

Midhope Bright Light.

The October sales at Stirling

saw Tom and Ruby taking two

red tickets with both of their

bulls, Scotland Hill IBN and

Invader. Both bulls went on to

sell well, the youngest making

10,000 guineas.

It’s been a challenging

year to say the least, but the

members have achieved a lot

in their own right.

Here’s to 2019 and the

opportunities it brings.

Scotland Hill Invader sold for

10,000gns to Pitgaveny farm.
