Presentation of the Company:
IMST GmbH is one of the leading German
research and development companies in the area
of wireless telecommunications. We offer our
customers a wide range of services, from complete
RF system hardware and software design and
realisation, baseband and antenna development, to
CE-certification. Expertise comprises both the
system and the hardware aspects of
communications and information networks with a
special focus on mobile wireless technology. Our
experts support your projects from feasibility
studies to complete design of applications including
hardware and software up to a solution for mass
production.
IMST GmbH has been involved in various research
and development activities both with industry and
academia focusing on satellite user terminals, e.g.
maritime terminals for Lband, broadband terminals
for the K- and Kabands and satellite navigation
receivers. Usually, we cover the area of RF frontend,
including antenna and beam forming network,
search and track algorithms and the required DSP
hardware/software. Besides the technical features
we analyse the market aspects also. Based on the
experience gained in these activities we feel
ourselves in a competitive position in the emerging
market for satellite user terminals.
Key Products and Services
Design of full electronically steerable antennas (L- to Ka-band)
Design of multi-mode satellite RF-frontend architectures and
IC’s
Studies and modelling of the radio propagation channel
Feasibility and system design studies for user terminals
