Presentation of the Company:
General Presentation of the company IPT is the first private Italian
company to have created a Multimission Satellite Station to receive
data from high resolution satellites. The station is located on the
eastern coast of Sardinia, in the Monte Maore area, 5km from Arbatax
(NU). The station forms part of a larger technological structure known
as the Centro Studi e Ricerche di Villagrande Strisaili (Villagrande
Strisaili Research and Study Centre).
The company provides an excellent support tool for decision making in
numerous applications, including:
� City planning;
� Terrain sciences;
� Technological network management;
� Socio- medical and environmental applications;
� Management of resources/infrastructure within the territory;
IPT was one of the first Italian companies in the sector to make
combined use of data obtained by aerial and satellite remote sensing
technology. Today, IPT has an A.A.D. (Acquisition, Filing and
Distribution ) agreement with ImageSat Int. Ltd which has granted it
the exclusive rights to high resolution data obtained by satellites of the
EROS constellation received directly by its multimission satellite station.
Right from the very beginning, the Company has been identified on the
market not only as a supplier of raw data, but also as a supplier of
Integrated Services, namely,:
� Analysis and interpretation of images obtained through remote
sensing technology;
� Application of geometric and radiometric corrections;
� Production of specific thematic characters;
� Integration of satellite data in the overall context of Territorial;
