The development of on-board systems is based on the integration of technologies in the field of control and vision systems, data acquisition and telecommunication systems. The main applications of this product are security and surveillance, environmental monitoring, fire detection and aftermath, precision agriculture, among other applications. Today, UAVision is pacing what it initially planned for, having built the structure and integrated mechanics of the first prototype all inhouse project design and construction and started the second phase consisting on the on-board systems (implementation of the servos, definition of the sensors on-board, data management system, communication protocol, communication system between the plane and the ground station, etc.). UAVision is also performing the first flight tests of the airplane. During the development of our main project, UAVision has also been developing several projects on systems integration and prototyping engineering solutions based on client requests, in the areas of our in-house expertise. In parallel, our remote sensing department has stretched out to other applications such as the usage of ground electrical conductivity sensors for agricultural applications. UAVision is also equipped with near Infra-Red image acquisition equipment which has been used for aerial digital photography (using piloted airplanes) to produce normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) maps for crop management. Other projects currently under development include automation systems, and wireless data systems.
