Presentation of the Company:<br />

UAVision was founded in April 2005 and specializes in the<br />

development and construction of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV),<br />

integrating different technologies such as aircraft control, remote<br />

sensing, data management and telecommunications.<br />

The development of on-board systems is based on the<br />

integration of technologies in the field of control and vision<br />

systems, data acquisition and telecommunication systems.<br />

The main applications of this product are security and<br />

surveillance, environmental monitoring, fire detection and<br />

aftermath, precision agriculture, among other applications.<br />

Today, UAVision is pacing what it initially planned for, having built<br />

the structure and integrated mechanics of the first prototype all inhouse<br />

project design and construction and started the second<br />

phase consisting on the on-board systems (implementation of the<br />

servos, definition of the sensors on-board, data management<br />

system, communication protocol, communication system between<br />

the plane and the ground station, etc.). UAVision is also<br />

performing the first flight tests of the airplane.<br />

During the development of our main project, UAVision has also<br />

been developing several projects on systems integration and<br />

prototyping engineering solutions based on client requests, in the<br />

areas of our in-house expertise.<br />

In parallel, our remote sensing department has stretched out to<br />

other applications such as the usage of ground electrical<br />

conductivity sensors for agricultural applications. UAVision is also<br />

equipped with near Infra-Red image acquisition equipment which<br />

has been used for aerial digital photography (using piloted<br />

airplanes) to produce normalized difference vegetation index<br />

(NDVI) maps for crop management.<br />

Other projects currently under development include automation<br />

systems, and wireless data systems.<br />
