Presentation of the Company:
� Founded in 2000, Starlab Barcelona is a private company
working on the research and early development of new
technologies and their markets, with a focus on the emerging
Space & Earth observation and Brain & Body monitoring
markets. The co-development of technology to monitor and
understand our planet, our brains and bodies is based on
powerful synergies, both technical and scientific, and aims to
provide new means to bring this kind of science developments
to the industry and market.
� R&D in Earth & Space centers on the development of new
GNSS and Radar technologies, optical interferometry and data
fusion, as well as the design and development of new
information services based on EO data for environmental
monitoring. In particular, we are specialists in GNSS hardware
and software development.
� R&D in Brain & Body focuses on the development of new
wearable sensor concepts and robust signal processing
techniques. In particular, we are specialists in electrophysiology
and wearable technologies.
� Starlab main objectives are:
� Technology R&D: conceive and develop innovative and
advanced technologies, mainly sensors and algorithms (both
software and hardware)—at least to the prototype level.
� Market R&D: the company, based on its R&D background, seeks
to develop products and services for specific users and bring
them to the market. Starlab seeks to create new markets for
space and brain and body technologies and foster Market and
User awareness.
