INTEGRAL/JEM-X experiment (ESA mission) CAEN Aerospace designed and produced the Engineer, Qualification and Flight Models of the 6KV High Voltage power supply for the INTEGRAL/JEM-X Microstrip Gas Chamber. The JEM-X HV power supplies, launched in orbit with the INTEGRAL satellite on October 17 th 2002, are successfully working. Their smooth operation showed so far proves the reliability of the CAEN Aerospace vacuum-borne products. High Voltage Power Supply System for FEEP PPCU CAEN Aerospace developed the Power Processing and Control Unit (PPCU) HV power supply system for FEEP applications. The system includes the HV modules, the power regulation block, the control and protection module, telecommands and telemetries. The CAEN Aerospace HV modules supplied the ALTA FEEP simulator installed on board of the Rubin-II mission, a small satellite for technology demonstration, privately owned and developed by Fuchs Group. Furthermore, in the framework of a collaboration with the Austrian Research Center, CAEN Aerospace produced an High Voltage Engineering Model Module for ARCS FEEP, successfully tested up to 12 KV. Central Payload Power Supply for Compact Instrumentation (ESA) In the framework of an ESA CTP study contract, a Central Payload Power Supply (CPPS) has been specifically designed by CAEN Aerospace to power Highly Integrated Payload Suites on future small satellites missions where reduced mass, size and power consumption are key factors. CPPS concept has already been baselined for several landers and it is also envisaged in some future interplanetary ESA missions. Its main features are: � 23 post regulated outputs divided into 10 Instruments groups with independent ground returns � Output voltages from 2.5 to 28 V (positive or negative) and current up to 1.5 A � Design easily adaptable to other secondary supply voltage/current requirements � Up to 80% efficiency � 800 mW consumption with Instruments OFF � 22 to 37 V Input Bus � 50 W nominal output power � Load and cross regulation better than 1% � 100 kHz fixed frequency operation � Low output noise � Input EMI filter � Input under-voltage protection � All outlets can indefinitely withstand 20/02/2009
