9.3.7 Job manager<br />

Non-secure administration access<br />

If administrative security is not enabled, the Integrated Solutions Console is<br />

accessed with a Web browser through the following URL:<br />

http://:/ibm/console/profileSelection.jsp<br />

Select a node that you want to manage. You can gain access to the console<br />

without entering a user name. If you enter a name, it is not validated and is used<br />

exclusively for logging purposes, and to enable the system to recover the session<br />

if it is lost while performing administrative tasks.<br />

Secure administration access<br />

If administrative security is enabled, the Integrated Solutions Console is<br />

accessed with a Web browser through the following URL (note the use of https://<br />

versus http://):<br />

https://:/ibm/console/profileSelection.jsp<br />

Select a node that you want to manage. You must enter an authorized user ID<br />

and password to log in.The actions that you can perform within the console are<br />

determined by your role assignment.<br />

The job manager allows the management of multiple <strong>WebSphere</strong> <strong>Application</strong><br />

<strong>Server</strong> domains (multiple deployment managers and administrative agents)<br />

through a single administration interface. It involves creating a job manager<br />

profile and using the wsadmin registerWithJobManager command to register the<br />

deployment manager or administrative agent with the job manager.<br />
