This edition of WebSphere Application Server is completely based on open source code and available to download free of charge. Note: WebSphere Application Server Community Edition’s codebase is different from the WebSphere Application Server. It is not a different packaging option for WebSphere Application Server. It is a separate product. WebSphere Application Server Community Edition is a powerful alternative to open source application servers.
