Alfonso Delgado MorenoAbstract:The planning of the naval capabilities that will be required around 2035should start from a thorough and detailed analysis that includes threats,scenarios, missions and scopes of the naval forces.Once the analysis is completed, the capabilities that must meet the JointAction requisites and successfully achieve the missions assigned can be defined.The group of ships, aircrafts and Marines units, along with the navalcontribution to joint capabilities, should form a balanced naval force, able tosoundly cope with its commitments, with distinctive versatility and interoperability.To procure it, modernization programs must be continued, addingcutting edge technologies, and replacing old units for new ones, prioritizingthe capabilities related to the missions to be accomplished in the comingyears.
