Estrategias <strong>de</strong> Filantropía Corporativa Global: El Caso <strong>de</strong> las empresas españolas en Latinoamérica110 7. ConclusionesEste trabajo realiza una contribución a la escasa literatura que analiza la dinámica <strong>de</strong> internacionalización<strong>de</strong> los programas <strong>de</strong> acción social <strong>de</strong> las empresas. Des<strong>de</strong> el punto <strong>de</strong>vista teórico, el trabajo <strong>de</strong>scribe el proceso <strong>de</strong> internacionalización <strong>de</strong> la acción social comoun proceso gradual <strong>de</strong> aprendizaje, en el que a medida que la empresa va conociendo lasdistintas realida<strong>de</strong>s sociales irá adquiriendo confianza para <strong>de</strong>sarrollar programas <strong>de</strong> acciónsocial a través <strong>de</strong> sus filiales. En segundo lugar el trabajo analiza la estrategia <strong>de</strong> internacionalización<strong>de</strong> la acción social como una función <strong>de</strong>l grado <strong>de</strong> globalización <strong>de</strong> la reputacióncorporativa <strong>de</strong> la empresa y <strong>de</strong> la estrategia competitiva internacional <strong>de</strong> la empresa. Eneste último aspecto, el trabajo <strong>de</strong>muestra que las empresas tien<strong>de</strong>n a alinear su estrategia<strong>de</strong> acción social global con su estrategia competitiva internacional. Des<strong>de</strong> un punto <strong>de</strong> vistaempírico el trabajo confirma sobre una muestra <strong>de</strong> empresas españolas que actúan en Latinoaméricala existencia <strong>de</strong> dicho proceso <strong>de</strong> aprendizaje, la relación entre una reputacióncorporativa global fuerte y las estrategias <strong>de</strong> acción social internacional estándar, y la mayorprobabilidad <strong>de</strong> la existencia <strong>de</strong> estas estrategias <strong>de</strong> acción social estándar en empresascon configuraciones <strong>de</strong> internacionalización <strong>de</strong> empresa global.Este trabajo constituye una primera aproximación empírica en un ámbito con escasa literaturahasta el momento. Como líneas futuras <strong>de</strong> investigación sería interesante contrastar losresultados <strong>de</strong> este trabajo en una muestra más amplias y con empresas <strong>de</strong> distintas nacionalida<strong>de</strong>s.Asimismo, se <strong>de</strong>ben <strong>de</strong>sarrollar nuevas medidas <strong>de</strong>l compromiso con la RSC <strong>de</strong>la empresa, ya que la hipótesis relacionada con esta variable no ha podido ser confirmadasen este trabajo.<strong>GCG</strong> GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY - UNIVERSIA <strong>2008</strong> VOL. 2 NUM. 1 ISSN: 1988-7116
