Like a flight simulator, a <strong>Business</strong> Simulation is a learning by doing tool that allows an active training process. It simulates competition in the<br />

real world, simplifies it, amplifies it and speeds it up. These business game sessions energise the competitive spirit and bring to life<br />

business concepts, principles and ways of thinking. In the simulation, one acts as in a real-life business, taking into account local<br />

characteristics & features applied to a given industry in US (Raleigh), Asian (Suzhou) & European (Lille & Sophia) contexts, such as<br />

evaluating market opportunities, developing plans, raising money, etc.<br />

Simulations are a fun way to learn about business based on a learning-by-doing method. This business simulation in partnership with Be<br />

Soft (<strong>Business</strong> Education Software) will enable students to:<br />

- View management as a sport played by a TEAM<br />

- Develop group dynamics: Group Work, Building Partnerships with other Teams, Negotiating Resources with Administrator<br />

- Analysis of relevant facts, thus learning how to globalise the company and expand frontiers: Exporting, Delocalising, Co-operating<br />

vs. Competing<br />

- Understand & build their own model for their company or activity within the company<br />

- Learn to operate under the scrutiny of financial markets in order to create value and provide profitable growth: Excellence in dayto-day<br />

operation, exploring new markets<br />

- Develop skills in short- term and long term decision making<br />

- A full internet game played with “Be Soft” software<br />

- Game animators/instructors will guide and help teams throughout the entire game process<br />

- Messages can be exchanged and questions sent to instructors on-line as well<br />

- Results are assessed by the software
