Abstract (Socialist Industrialization in the Mirror of Szeklerland Press)
Socialist economic development was one of the prominent issues in Romania during the
Ceauşescu era, and the Szeklerland was no exception to this concern.
The national and local press published several surveys connected to industrialization, discussing
the problems of regional development. We shall attempt to revise the modernization of Szeklerland
during the 1970s and 1980s on the basis of the economic issues raised in the press.

Rezumat (Industrializarea socialistă refl ectată în presa din Ţinutul Secuiesc)
În românia epocii Ceauşecu, una din problemele cheie a fost dezvoltarea socialistă a industriei,
care nu a ocolit nici Ţinutul Secuiesc.
Presa centrală şi locală a publicat o serie de anchete pe tema industrializării, care au dezbătut
problemele dezvoltării regiunilor respective. Articolul prezintă tema modernizării Ţinutului Secuiesc
din anii 1970-1980, aşa cum a fost refl ectată de către articolele economice din presa vremii.
