Summary
The work “Innovatory Searching in the Georgian Cinematography
1960-s” deals with the period which is considered as the era of
development of Georgian cinematography. This period has been the basic
material for the theory and practice of the cinema so far, as it is
distinguished with all-round novelty. The process of creative search and
renowal is going on, new thematic or stylistic tendencies are being
founded. The road, passed by Georgian cinematography, from ideologic
high-pressure to perfect freedom, was hard, but anyhow, in spite of the
fact that it was the part of the Soviet cinematography, it still has been able
to create such notion as “the phenomenon of Georgian Cinematography”.
