Endnutzers (beispielsweise einer Fluggesellschaft) auf die Sicherstellung<br />
von Nachhaltigkeit entlang der gesamten Wertschöpfungskette alternativer<br />
Kraftstoffe: Konventionell entscheidet der Marktpreis über Menge und Qualität<br />
des Zwischen- oder Endproduktes entlang von Lieferketten. Zur Etablierung tragfähiger<br />
Strukturen und Verfahrensabläufe in einer Anfangsphase kann der Endnutzer<br />
mit allen Lieferanten in engen Kontakt treten und sie bei der Umsetzung von<br />
Nachhaltigkeitsstandards unterstützen und kontrollieren. In einer fortgeschrittenen<br />
Phase kann sich der Endnutzer aus dieser sehr aktiven Rolle wieder zurückziehen,<br />
sollte jedoch weiterhin über Verhandlungen mit allen Lieferanten entlang der<br />
Wertschöpfungskette in engem Kontakt bleiben und so einen kooperativen Markt<br />
aufrechterhalten.<br />

influence sustainability performance along the entire supply chain of alternative<br />
fuels: In a conventional approach, market prices and price negotiations are<br />
used to define quantity and quality of intermediate and final products. In order to<br />
establish reliable structures and procedures in an initial phase, end users can get in<br />
close contact with all suppliers of the supply chain to support and supervise them<br />
in the implementation of sustainability standards. In an advanced phase, end users<br />
can withdraw gradually from these intense support and control activities and confine<br />
themselves to a coordinating role of the upstream process steps for the purpose<br />
of maintaining a cooperative biofuel market.<br />
