Kurzzusammenfassung
Abstract
Global trends, like climate change as well as local challenges, like landscape
protection or rising noise exposure and air pollution raise the question for touristic
destinations of how to shape the mobility of tourists in future. On the basis of
functional and spatial contexts, it seems that the region as operating level lend
it self to this issue. From a regional planning point of view the use of regional
planning instruments in an interdisciplinary process is interesting. By means of
the example region Salzkammergut the development of a roadmapping-process
based on options for regional planning will be carried out in consideration
of economic, infrastructural, institutional and political frameworks as well as
subsequent operational fields. The result is a flexible, iterative process which
enables the work on complex issues with regards to contents in a large and
heterogeneous field of stakeholders.
