The features of this system are:<br />
� the buffer storage has an extensive volume (e.g. 800 l or more) and serves as a heat<br />
source for the heat pump<br />
� in case of a lack of energy inside the buffer, the heat pump can use<br />
the borehole heat exchanger<br />
� as a result of many hydraulic components (i.e.. two storages) the system requires more<br />
place, higher cost and a sophisticated control system. It is not clear yet if its<br />
advantages can compensate these drawbacks.<br />
� no active support for the regeneration of a gro<strong>und</strong> heat source is foreseen although it<br />
could be possible from the storage.<br />
� system allows theoretically higher inlet temperature for the evaporator of the heat<br />
pump and the increase of the solar gains, but it is reliable enough?
