3.4 Firmware Download<br />
Using the Firmware Download dialog a firmware can be transferred to the<br />
device.<br />
CAUTION! The firmware download<br />
- Stops the bus communication,<br />
- erases the configuration data base and<br />
- overwrites the existing firmware in the device.<br />
To complete the update and to make the device operable again, please<br />
re-download the configuration when this operation has finished.<br />
Note: Prior to the firmware download, you must select the driver and the<br />
<strong>Scanner</strong> device (with or without firmware).<br />
For further in<strong>for</strong>mation refer to section Overview Settings on page 23.<br />
To load the firmware to the device:<br />
1. In the navigation area select Settings > Firmware Download.<br />
The dialog Firmware-Download pane is displayed.<br />

Name Name of the Firmware<br />
Version Version and Build Version of the Firmware<br />
Browse… Button to select the firmware file.<br />
Download Button to download the firmware.<br />

2. Select Browse.<br />
The selection window Select Firmware File is displayed.<br />
