*i68. Oberonia condensata, Ridl. op. cit. p. 322. Epiphytic<br />

on trees by streams on <strong>the</strong> Padang. The stem is<br />

remarkable, being long and bare <strong>of</strong> leaves below and clinging<br />

to <strong>the</strong> bark by numerous roots. The flowers are yellow.<br />

Endemic.<br />

323. In woods on <strong>the</strong> Padang. Epiphytic, very fragrant.<br />

Distribution. Perak and Borneo.<br />

170. Platyclinis linearifdlia, Ridl. Very common<br />

all over <strong>the</strong> rocks in all parts <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Padang exposed to full<br />

sun. The bright orange pseudobulbs and bright yellow<br />

flowers make it quite attractive. This was accidentally named<br />

P. Kingii in <strong>the</strong> previous paper.<br />

Distribution. Mt. Ophir, and Batang Padang and Gunong<br />

Bubu in Perak.<br />

323. On <strong>the</strong> top <strong>of</strong> Gunong Tahan and Ulu Riang.<br />

Distribution. Ulu Batang Padang, Gunong Semangkok<br />

and Gunong Kerbau, 6000—6,600 feet.<br />

172. Dendrobium macropodum, Hook. fil. On trees in<br />

<strong>the</strong> woods by <strong>the</strong> Camp stream.<br />

Distribution. K'luang Terbang and <strong>the</strong> Larut Hills.<br />

173. Dendrobium geminatum, Hoo^. 7?/. Ra<strong>the</strong>r scarce<br />

on <strong>the</strong> Padang.<br />

Distribution. Perak and Kedah at 4,000 to 5,000 feet<br />

altitude, also Java.<br />

*i74. Dendrobium Kelsalli, Ridl. op. cit p. 323. On<br />

trees on <strong>the</strong> Padang. I did not see flowers <strong>of</strong> this plant,<br />

which was scarce, and so am not quite sure Jis to <strong>the</strong><br />

identification.<br />

by Robinson on <strong>the</strong> previous occasion ; I could not find<br />

it again.<br />

Collected by Robinson at 5,000 to 6,000 feet altitude. On <strong>the</strong><br />

Padang.<br />

Dendrobium bifarium, Ridley, op. cit. p. 324.<br />

Stems six inches to a foot tall, erect, ^ inch through,<br />

slightly undulate, <strong>the</strong> internodes ^ inch long. Leaves \ to<br />

neiirly \ inch long, oblong-obtuse, obliquel}- bifid at <strong>the</strong> tip<br />

and slightly dilated at <strong>the</strong> base, ra<strong>the</strong>r fleshy and bright green.<br />

Flowers solitary, \ inch across; ovary and pedicel ver}- short.<br />

Sepals oblong-lanceolate, pale ochreous-brown. Mentum very<br />

short and blunt. Petals smaller than <strong>the</strong> sepals, and narrower,<br />

3 nerved. Lip white or light yellow with a darker
