Branches flexuous, roughly hairy, with red clubbed hairs<br />

and shorter silky hair. Leaves alternate, ovate, acuminate,<br />

base rounded, red, hairy, coriaceous, paler beneath, neives<br />

4-5 pairs inarching within <strong>the</strong> margin, reticulations prominent,<br />

7 cm. long, 2.5 cm. wide, petiole thick, red, hairy<br />

.4-. 5 mm. long. Racemes axillary beneath, <strong>the</strong> leaf 3 cm.<br />

long, 5 to 6 flowered, hairy, pedicels .5 mm. long. Sepals<br />

5-ovate, acutem connate at <strong>the</strong> base for half <strong>the</strong>ir length.<br />

2 mm. long, hairy outside. Corolla, tube urceolate, 6 mm.<br />

long, sparingly hairy outside, <strong>the</strong> hairs ra<strong>the</strong>r long, lobes 5,<br />

short, lanceolate, obtuse, glabrous within. Stamens 10, filaments<br />

glabrous half <strong>the</strong> length <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> corolla. An<strong>the</strong>rs<br />

elliptic, oblong with a pair <strong>of</strong> bifurcated appendages with<br />

filiform points, orange colour. Ovary rounded, flattened,<br />

silky; Style as long as <strong>the</strong> perianth tube glabrous, pink.<br />
