Female: iris chestnut, bill slate, greenish slate on lower<br />

Fairly common on <strong>the</strong> peak, which is nearly <strong>the</strong> nor<strong>the</strong>rn<br />
limit <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> species. The form occurring in Trang and<br />
Bandon is C. chlorocephala, while birds from Perlis immediately<br />
to <strong>the</strong> north <strong>of</strong> Kedah are intermediate.<br />

" Iris red or chocolate, bill black, feet greyish brown,<br />
soles yellowish flesh. Common everywhere on <strong>the</strong> hill in<br />
parties <strong>of</strong> two or three.<br />
Several <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> specimens have <strong>the</strong> undertail coverts faintly<br />
washed with greenish, which is apparently an indication <strong>of</strong><br />
immaturity.
